IKEA Home Organisation Haul

Hi Everyone,

I promised a few posts back to update you guys on why I've been a bit absent for a few months, so here it is: I started a new job quite far from where I live, went travelling and then we moved house! One of these things on its own would have been tough, yet bearable, but all together? I'm only just finding my feet again. It happened to turn into one of the most stressful moves I've ever done, mostly because the new house needs a lot of work done to it. Most of our things are still in boxes, being moved from one room to the other as I attempt to DIY as much as possible. I'll be posting more about that in future posts. Today is something I've been meaning to share with you guys for a long time: my first haul for the new home! I'm so excited! These products are all from Ikea so also easily accessible!

One of the main things I needed to pick up was some shelving for extra storage, so I went ahead and grabbed the ones closest to the dimensions I required (I measured, re-measured and re-re-measured, I've made that mistake before!). As well as this, I picked up two sets of Skubb boxes and one larger clear plastic box. The clear plastic box was simply for extra storage (more on this later) but the Skubb boxes are amazing organisational tools to hold small bits, whilst sneakily hiding the clutter. I picked up a purple set of 6 individual boxes to add small pops of colour whilst adding some organisation, as well as a connected white Skubb drawer organiser for extra organisation inside drawers.

Finally, the ombre set of orange candles caught my attention on the way out the door. They appear to have a pumpkin on the sticker, but don't let that fool you - they smell of fields of oranges, and can actually fill the room with fragrance, not bad at all, considering a price of under £3.

Have you got any sneaky organisation tricks up your sleeve? Leave me a comment below and let me know,

Much Love,

Go to Spring Time Scent: Body Shop Moringa

There is so much to love about the Body Shop's "Moringa" range that I don't quite know where to begin. Perhaps my obsession with it is due to the breezy floral scent that accompanies the high quality products from this range. All I know is I wouldn't be without it during the spring/summer months.

This might seem like an obsessive love affair, but hear me out. So far I have tried the soap, body butter and body spray from this collection. As the name suggests, all of the products carry the same scent, but all three layer together to provide a cohesive, luxurious morning routine that starts my day in a state of relaxation. Starting in the shower, the soap is very lightly scented but provides a good lather and cleanse, without drying out the skin as most shower gels tend to. Out of the shower, the body butter carries the strongest scent, allowing the fragrance to linger on the skin throughout the day. It also has a very moisturising formula; apply just the right amount and it sinks in immediately, apply a bit too much however, and you'll usually find me doing a chicken dance around the room trying to dry it all out, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...

The final step is a quick spritz of body spray which delivers a finishing layer of Moringa. Although not as highly scented as the body butter, this product ensures I get just a small whiff as my clothes move with me, but only lasts for a hour or two before the need for reapplication arises. If I had to pick one product from this range, it would be the body butter every single time, though an Eau de Toilette is available in this range - if you're more of a scented sprays person.

Have you tried anything from this range? I'd love to hear your opinions about your favourite morning products, leave me a comment or a link to your blog/video below,

Two Product Skincare Army for Soft, Radiant Skin

It's the summer time, and that means one thing: floral fragrances rule! I'm so glad it's this time of the year again, as my obsession with anything rose-scented is perfectly justified, even encouraged! So, what obsession have I been hiding the past few months? It's with the Aromatherapy Associates Rose Face Mask. A moisturising face mask with a clear gel-like texture, it's one of the most versatile products in my skincare army. You can apply this face mask for 10mins for a quick injection of moisture to dry, dehydrated skin, or leave it on overnight over a layer of face oil for extra dry skin.

My favourite battle maneuver is to apply a generous amount of the face mask over a thin layer of the Sanctuary Spa Therapist's Secret Facial Oil and leave overnight. Both products seem to disappear into the skin almost instantly, so there's no sticky feeling and due to the clear nature of both products, no sign of anything being applied. The Sanctuary Spa face oil is incredible at treating any active acne spots which may be running rampant, as well as reducing signs of hyper-pigmentation from acne scars, all whilst providing a gentle 'glow' to the skin. The face mask provides much-needed moisture, but also contains Aloe Vera juice which helps soothe and provide a gentle 'reset' button for the skin (I've talked about my love for this skincare ingredient here).

As a team, these products help me wage war against most skin complaints, but also act as super-secret agents for those dreaded long haul flights, which would invariably suck all moisture from my skin otherwise. A sample of the Aromatherapy Associates Rose Face Mask is available as a magazine freebie for this month, you can read more about this in my previous post

Do you have any skin saviours? Leave me a comment or a link to your blog/video below,

May 2014 Magazine Freebies (June 2014 Issue) + Money off coupons

Hello Everyone!

I'm so excited to share with you the new magazine freebies I've spotted floating around recently! This is one one of my favourite ways to try out higher-end products at a reasonable price, plus since the products tend to be sample sizes, if I don't like them then I'm not wasting a ton of perfectly good product. In fact, I've spotted some money-off coupons and good deals on magazines this month, so if you're planning on a holiday or a lazy weekend curled up reading, you might be able to grab those deals in the near future.

First, let's start with the freebies:

Marie Claire: Aromatherapy Associates Skincare (Hydrating) Set (Worth £13), includes: Renewing Rose Cleanser, Triple Rose Renewing Moisturiser and Rose Face Mask.
Price: £2.50 (usually £3.90)

Edit: You can read my review of the above face mask here

Elle: mini tester of the Benefit Pore fessional Primer
Price: £4.00 (or £1.00 with the coupon with the coupon below)

In Style: One of three nails inc. nail varnishes.
Price: £3.90, or reduced price of £2.50 from Tesco

Below are photos of the money-off coupons I've spotted in the London Evening Standard (Thurs. 15th May 2014 issue). As I've spotted similar deals in this publication a few times before, it may pay (no pun intended) to keep an eye out for them in future issues:

Nail of the Day: Teal

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you probably already know I love *cough* might be slightly obsessed with *cough* nail varnish, so this particular post will be of no surprise to you. As the weather is finally warming up here in London, I have a beautiful new find to share with you guys: Teal by Barry M. It’s the most beautiful metallic shade of bluey-green, with more of an emphasis on the blue than the green. This shade reminds me of the perfect mermaid blue, and happens to be of the rare variety which looks good with gold and silver jewellery, empahising any accessories you "just happened to throw on..."

In terms of formulation, Barry M nail paints typically have a runnier formula, but without compromising on the pigmentation; this gives you more time to work with the nail varnish when applying it on the nail, and results in a smooth, one-coat application however it also means longer drying times. Great for beginners, bit a of bummer if you need to run out the door.

Barry M Nailpaints retail for £2.99, and are currently on offer at 3 for 2 here.

Magazine Freebies March 2014

Hey Everyone!

It's nice to finally be back and blogging again after a short hiatus :) As promised in my previous post, I'll going into further details in an upcoming post, but for today, I'm back to an oldie but goodie - magazine freebies I've spotted out and about. As you guys probably know by now: I love using free samples with magazines as a way to try out new products that I may otherwise not have heard of previously, or that may simply be way out of my budget. So, that in mind, these are the current offerings up for grabs

Elle:  Percy and Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm

Marie Claire: Neal's Yard Remedies Moisturising lipgloss

Company: Mascara (branded with Magazine own logo)

Glamour: Model's Own products (lipgloss, mascara, eyeliner or lipliner, one product per copy) + 25% off H&M ladieswear voucher

Personally, I'm excited with the Percy and Reed offering from Elle magazine as I've been lucky enough to try another product from the brand previously, and it was, in one word: phenomenal. Will you be picking up one of the above? Leave me a comment below to let me know,
